F i s a n t e K r a a l C r e c h e The aim of this project was to provide a safe haven for children of this community, to play and learn while their parents are at work. So the brief was to use sustainable materials and technology, so that the community can take part in building this haven for their children. This project was challenging because one had to design with children in mind, because designing a space for children is different from designing a place for adults, so time was spent finding research on successful creche's and kindergartens. Another part of this project was making the building include the community by providing a community centre, a vegetable garden that could serve both the community and the children. |
